We will see. I was suspended from my account over a year ago for so-called COVID misinformation and now people are saying way more inflammatory things than I ever did and not being kicked off.
I'm on Gab now and nothing against Gab but it does feel like a echo chamber. It gets kind of boring when everyone agrees with you, lol.
I'm locked out of Twitter too. I've lost so many of my contacts. Aggravators. But I don't have any big hope about Elon buying it. I don't trust him for one moment.
I don’t trust him, but it’s in his financial interests to at least begin his ownership by lifting the Covid misinformation policies that are at the heart of several lawsuits involving the federal govt.
... and anyone suggestion negotiated peace to end the Ukraine v Russia war is more sensible than these Muppets shoveling money into the war machine. (damnit... I sound like a peacenik rather than retired USAF)
I can't say with 100% certainty but I am not confident in Elon being the savior. James Corbett does a good job as usual digging into the subject of Elon and it isn't pretty.
Probably inevitably, Trump riding down that escalator at Trump Tower to deliver his first campaign speech came to mind.
The Substack format lets you write more deeply than tweets allow for, and it's much better for preserving material for future reference.
It’s not one or the other - Substack v Twitter - it’s both.
Without question, twitter generates more traffic for Substack posts.
There’s nothing like Twitter for straight-up verbal dueling.

It'll be interesting, that's for sure!
i keep checking for yours ;-)
Lol, not yet. :)
If Musk waits til after Election Day to lift suspensions under that insane “Covid misinfo* policy, I’ll be irritated.
The DMs are where it’s at. I look forward to your return indeed.
So true. “Chats are where it’s at.” 😉
I'm still baffled that free speech is a threat to democracy and an authoritarian one-party state isn't. Interesting times...
Can Twitter get worse? Bring it Elon.

I’m 100% sure that the only Savior ever is Jesus Christ, not Elon Musk. :)
Eternal issues aside, I think Musk is a temporary hero, at best.
