Wow! 7 athletes out of 263 had cold symptoms during the event! I guess this is unprecedented.

Actually, it was NOT during the event.

Note the timeframe and why I said it can't be investigated as an "outbreak"

"The 7" exhibited symtoms between Oct 18, 2019 and Jan 21, 2020

Yep. Stand corrected. Did not pay much attention to the timeframe. Just wanted to (sarcastically) make the point that 7/263 people getting a cold should not be a big deal.

"Athletes who compete in events sanctioned by, are members of, or license holders of a National Governing Body or International Federation, or who fall under the USADA testing jurisdiction as defined in the USADA Protocol for Olympic and Paralympic Movement Testing, are subject to blood testing."

They didn't even try to test for IgG or IgM in stored blood samples, otherwise they would say so.

"The results of any blood testing conducted on athletes and staff returning from the 2019 World Military Games, including whether those blood samples were subsequently tested for COVID-19. The military facilities supporting Service members from the 2019 World Military Games reported no outbreaks of COVID-19- like signs and/or symptoms shortly upon returning. Service members were not tested for COVID-19 or antibodies due to their participation in the 2019 World Military Games, as testing was not available at this early stage of the pandemic."

Correct. I believe I said that above. Are you saying I missed it?

Why would the blood samples taken for testing pre-competition have been stored?

Only for 10 years.

Still not seeing the connection.

Are you saying the athletes would've undergone pre-competition blood testing?

If so, whence the idea that blood samples would've been kept for 10 years?

If samples were retro-tested, the results would be meaningless.

If they was worried so much about 'bioweapons' in the military, they would check the WADA samples, both pre-game & post-game, to see what happened.

Maybe they just forgot that they did it, or maybe the results appear in the 'secret appendix' of the report.
