I certainly will never forget or forgive. I can't believe the White House thinks we are so dumb as to believe that it was democrats who wanted open schools. There hatred for parents and kids shows every day.

I'm 40 years old with 4 kids who were adversely affected by school closings. Whether I live to be 100 or die tomorrow or anywhere in between, I will never although anyone who advocated school closings to forget.

Furthermore...this includes restrictions on "the old normal" which some schools still have in place!

Mask, test, vax requirements...these all add up to a form of school closing.

What we are seeing this week is only the beginning. It will get worse. They will find a handful of vague and arbitrary scapegoats to point to.

Thankfully, we have the receipts.

Never Forget. Never again.

So. Many. Receipts.

When my daughter becomes a lawyer in ten years, look out.

That they are deliberately trying to misdirect who was responsible for these decisions is outrageous and infuriating. Attempting to avoid accountability again for gross miscalculations of outcomes is unforgettable. It absolutely wasn’t the previous US President who threatened my school’s funding and accreditation. The Illinois State Board of Education and Gov JBP office directly did that! I sat in those meetings and witnessed firsthand their malfeasance. We absolutely cannot let this ever occur again.

You sat in which meetings?

I am a school board member in Southern Illinois. We took direct fire from ISBE and the Gov’s office. His staff was directly checking our weekly Covid numbers and working with our local health department to try to pressure and embarrass us as much as possible.

Thanks for the reply, no need to apologize for me. I wasn’t intimidated by them. I had done my homework and read the law. I knew they had no legal or sound educational ground to stand on. The has played out much like many of us predicted, and the kids paid the heaviest price.

Thanks for your work, dedication, persistence, and great writing. You’ve been a voice of strength and determination for many. Keep it up.

Simple test: Where were JB’s wife and kids while the devastating danger he claimed faced our children in Illinois forced them to be locked out, masked up, isolated and terrorized and their families’ livelihoods destroyed? Apparently the deadly danger mysteriously refused to cross state lines.

Also, is the closing mention of "me and my house" a sort of pun on "woodhouse"?

Haha, no - but it works as a pun.

It's a biblical allusion.

Joshua 24:14 - “Now therefore fear the Lord and serve him in sincerity and in faithfulness. Put away the gods that your fathers served beyond the River and in Egypt, and serve the Lord. 15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

"Yes, it did, and you knew in March 2020. Plus, Sweden."

fwiw.. 20-million kids in Japan started March break a week early that year.. and it ran a week longer than scheduled.. but they were all back in class, as usual, from - and ever since - April 2020.. no drama.

Yes, Sweden isn't the only example. It's my catch-all for "other countries didn't do what we did with schools."

The simplest thing, for judging the two parties and how they handled schooling, is to look at what California did and compare it to Texas and Florida.

These folx want to destroy society by dumbing down the kids, and it’s working. Whether pawn or schemer, they each follow the same script, and share guilt for betraying their constituents.
