In his autobiography, Norman Schwarzkopf relates that in summer 1990, as Iraq was preparing to invade Kuwait, the U.S. military was doing a war game (Internal Look) of nearly that exact event happening. Schwarzkopf says intelligence bulletins "concerning Iraq were so similar to the game dispatches that the message center ended up having to stamp the fictional reports with a prominent disclaimer: 'Exercise Only.'"

Pompeo was in the Army in 1990. Maybe Internal Look didn't come to mind for him 30 years later, but there must've been a few senior military people who remembered that convergence and compared it to this one.

That's always been my take - "[China] should have..." But do I misunderstand the significance? Why does it matter? It is very mild rebuke (right?) by a guy who was just along for the ride. The much larger issue is the role that China played in the US "pandemic response" i.e. do it like China - the lockdowns, the tracing, the mass testing - and if possible, do it harder! Or at least bemoan the fact that our "freedoms" prevented us from doing it the China way (next time?). The guy who turned out to be the principle driver in the Trump Whitehouse - long time NSA affiliations and long time affiliations with operatives in China - was the guy who brought in Birx to be the public facing Covid chief; and she was recommended by his Chinese national wife (formerly colleagues). I rehearse the account developed by the guy who probably has done most to investigate the Covid Chinese connection (policy wise, not bats and wet market stuff) - https://www.michaelpsenger.com/

There are many interesting things said and unsaid in the press conference, but in this point, I'm simply addressing one part of it that people tend to bring up on social media from time to time.

I disagree with Michael Senger's perspective on the role China, i.e., that China tricked everyone. I view the operation as a cooperative/coordinated effort between certain gov't officials/agencies and private parties/interests in various countries.

Two recent PANDA articles by Thomas Verduyn do a nice job of confronting some of the myths & assumptions about the China/Lab Leak/Wet Market narrative https://pandauncut.substack.com/p/revisiting-china and https://pandauncut.substack.com/p/the-bat-dilemma

There was no pandemic and no sudden-spreading deadly coronavirus, in my view. This statement captures my perspective well (Disclosure: I contributed to the statement. Jonathan Engler was lead author.)

I also disagree with those who contend that Trump was fooled per se. While I make no claims to knowing his mind and motives, Donald Trump was the perfect President for The Pandemic Hyperreality TV Show. Whether he "knew" or he "didn't know," it's a problem and is disqualified from office. So is everyone who was holding a federal position in March 2020.

The finger-pointing at China that we see in the March 20, 2020 press conference is part of the staging of "virus from afar coming soon to a city near you."

I also don't see a basis for blaming China for ventilators. https://wherearethenumbers.substack.com/p/us-covid-19-ventilation-policy-made?utm_source=substack&utm_campaign=post_embed&utm_medium=web

Quite so, Jessica; the West wasn't tricked at all.

It is evident that Western and Chinese strategic interests - total economic and social digitalisation, imposition of a control grid, fertility control, population reduction - especially elimination of the pensionable and general shortening of life-expectancy for all except the rulers - and directed, accelerated bio-engineered evolution, ending mass consumerism, etc - converge at many points, and they are therefore co-operating on attaining these goals.

Witness the Pandemic scam and the poisoned pseudo-vaccines.

However, neither side trusts the other entirely, a kind of Unholy Alliance. In particular, the CCP must fear being subverted, and the West that China will break free and go for world domination, rather than a partition of global resources.

Most of what we see of East-West antagonism is theatre for consumption by a naive public; but very high stakes indeed are being played for.

I wanted to mention, if you have read any of George Webb, he identified the Military Games in Oct 2019 as the likely place that possible "spraying" of an infectious agent was done. I think he believes that US military attaches of some sort brought these agents to the games to test out. I think he believes US JSOC was involved. I am trying to remember exactly what he found, but it is best to go read his reports. There was no pandemic and the Mainstream Media was used to incite fear into non-thinking Americans.

Thanks.

I have seen no evidenced of a sprayed agent of any kind.

My current view re: the Oct 2019 World Games sicknesses - to the extent accounts of illness are legitimate - is that there were either a) normal, unremarkable, and publicized as part of broader "virus from Wuhan or from the U.S." storyline, and/or b) the illnesses were linked to the athletes receiving the flu shot (as is required for U.S. military), and publicized as part of broader "virus from Wuhan or from the U.S." storyline.

“COVID death” avg age is higher than life expectancy, NY “death spike” inexplicable, non sensical interventions appear to be a test for acquiescence. Your theory holds water.

Thanks. Even if my theories don’t work, the federal government should not be permitted to make a claim about a mass casualty event - let alone one involving the equivalent of ten World Trade Center disasters - without offering some kind of proof.

Moreover, no jurisdiction should be able to privatize vital records, including death certificates.

Elected and appointed officials are STEWARDS of those records, not OWNERS.

The govt has every incentive to lie about death. Not only cause of death, but the number and places of death.

This has to stop

I wanted to contribute to you that after we genealogists discovered that Obama had a stolen SS#, the SocSec Adm STOPPED the Social Security Death Index. I have used that for years to track down deceased relatives, to put in the family tree. This has been a huge hardship. It is hard to find available death certificates, often they want the person to be a close relative. No politican will reply when I ask them if the SSDI will be restarted. This would be a way to locate the total deaths for an area, as it included the zip code.

In the midst of NY's spike, 24% of the deaths were individuals under 65. Meanwhile, globally, COVID deaths in the same age group accounted for just 2-4% before and after that period. This discrepancy alone fueled much of the U.S. pandemonium.

The full impact in NY is obscured due to laws protecting death certificate information. Moreover, the narrative of thousands in NYC during March-April 2020 awaiting ventilators seems questionable. The focus on ventilator use may detract from the full story. For instance, Nurse Erin reported all 10 of her patients died on ventilators. Interestingly, a year later, she appeared in a musical with members of Tim Pool’s team and Robert Malone, who previously toured with Dr. Kory. Dr. Kory, reflecting on the crisis’s peak, advocated for simple solutions like vitamin C drips over vaccination, suggesting censorship hindered broader adoption of such treatments.

AZAR: "So we were alerted by some discussions that Dr. Redfield, the Director of the CDC, had with Chinese colleagues on January 3rd. It's since been known that there may have been cases in December, not that we were alerted in December”.

Not that we were paying attention in December! By that time, according to the CDC, 4-6 million Americans were Covid seropositive.: "Serologic testing of U.S. blood donations to identify SARS-CoV-2-reactive antibodies: December 2019-January 2020”. HOCKETT: Given the context, I interpret’s [sic] Trump’s “should have let us know” to simply be Trump agreeing with what Pompeo is saying about China, i.e., “[Yes, Mike. China] should have let us know.”

As documented in NUMEROUS Press Briefings, Remarks, other events -- in the public record -- in which Pres. Trump spoke throughout 2020 and until his January 2021 exit, Trump REPEATEDLY mentioned "China should have let us know" -- in that language or similar. It was (and still is) a running theme in Trump's brain that "China could have stopped covid if they had just let us know."

I've read a A LOT of transcripts from the Trump White House Archive* and, again, I can CONFIRM the loop running in Trump's obsessive brain that it's China's fault, they should have let us know, and they could have stopped it. I'm not going to do the searches and document right now (don't have time), but readers can do the searches and prove it for themselves, as they wish.

Bottom line: I have NO DOUBT whatsoever that Ms. Hockett's interpretation is 100% CORRECT. Trump was DEFINITELY saying "[China] should have let us know." Thank you, Ms. Jessica, for being sensible rather than a dramatist.

In my opinion, it wasn't simply part of a Trump loop, it was the script.

"In my opinion, it wasn't simply part of a Trump loop, it was the script."

That's a huge topic (as you know). We don't need to pursue it here/now (but it is of great interest to me). I'll just say that if it was a "script," that doesn't tell us what Trump comprehended re the script (as you know). I'll just say it's (probably) either 1) he REALLY REALLY REALLY believed every received narrative about the scamdemic, or 2) he's a very wicked individual. I happen to think Trump is overwhelmingly incompetent/dimwitted/tragically-flawed, but I also think he is 100% capable of choosing moneyed interests/enterprises and his ego over the general welfare....

I wish I knew (really knew). Thanks for your responses (here, there, and everywhere) which are always thought provoking and almost always edifying.

P.S. The burden of proof is on the powers-that-be/the State. BURDEN OF PROOF. On THEM. Never back down from that POV (I know you don't/won't). Keep pressing; it seems like God meant you for this contribution to humanity (but, of course, what do I know? and I surely do not speak for God). Thank You, Ms. Hockett.

The Covid years coincided with my mother's multiple year hellish battle with dementia, until her death last year.

In March of 2020, we got her out of a nursing home 1-2 weeks before lockdowns. Everything was already crazy and stressful even apart from Covid. So if I did read/see any of this news conference, I honestly have no memory of it.

"Given the context, I interpret’s Trump’s “should have let us know” to simply be Trump agreeing with what Pompeo is saying about China, i.e., “[Yes, Mike. China] should have let us know.”

That is how I understood it reading it right now. That's how I would have understood it if I had read/watched it then.
