Let them play in front of empty houses - it’s the only thing they may understand. Of course, they’ll beg for donations and govt subsidies, but that’ll be a discussion for another day
Just like a chain link fence keeps out mosquitoes, so does a mask protect against respiratory viruses. But masks make people FEEL SAFE so there's that.
This kind of forced masking has so many prompts for conversation. One is that it's enormously arrogant for Wheaton Drama to mark the people it's asking to pay to attend these plays as hazards to the actors on stage. What kind of relationship is that?
Not shocking since it took Wheaton decades to change their alcohol policy to align with every other town in Illinois. They will hang onto this for way longer than needed, unfortunately.
"For the safety of our actors, who will be UNMASKED" Sums it all up! If ppl continue to buy tix to this theater (or any other FORCING masks) they are MORONS, pure and simple.
It’s pure theater! I wish I thought the sheep would make them have to “act” like they had an income stream from productions, but they won’t. I leaned hard on the college for their restrictions but doubt they listened. “You keep your mask and I’ll keep my money.”

Hubris, deep pockets, or both
Does this mean that the actors themselves never go to mask optional concerts, bars, theaters, sporting events, etc., for their own safety?
Exactly.
Why do the actors need to be protected from me?
Why must I participate in the “theatre” of pretending I’m sick, afraid, or believe in masks?
Then everyone should decide to not go. Let them see an empty auditorium. That's the only way this idiocy will end.

I’m so sorry. This type of discrimination is not scientific and hurtful.
They don’t deserve your presence or your money.
Time to #DoNotComply or at the very least, never go there!

Wheaton Drama is an outlier on this in the community

Idiotic and science says STOP the stupidity!
Yep, I remember this one.
Such a mystery why people have been slow to return...
