Updated post after publication with self-contained video clip, plus a song tied to the theme. :)

(I've been doing the latter on some posts lately as a motivational thing. I love music; it helps as I do my best to keep going with this!)

I have argued this more than a few times. The bombardment of the fear and panic narrative convinced many "Covid" was far worse than it actually was. The true pandemic lay in the message. And it's laughable now in its continuation. The latest variant apparently causes "razorblade throat." The next one will be the "nose like a leaky faucet" variant and so on.

Add to this the assertion of "living your truth," and you can have a primed individual experience of a dystopian future. Local shops were closed down, signage on store walls. Arrows on the floor, PSA's over the PA. It's the end of Western Civilization.

The analogy I think of for some reason is "repressed memories." There was a time when the psychological world talked early and often about memories of abuse, but the priming done by the therapist actually fabricated memories from nothing at all, or something that really meant nothing in reality. How much easier is it to convince people they have had the worst disease ever? Add to that the "examples" of New York, and people think it's time to walk around with an umbrella, the sky is falling.

Some people as they grow older, will face the worst disease ever. As we grow older, our ability to weather normal diseases becomes more difficult. Add in chronic conditions, and it is worse still. But does that mean it is the worst disease ever?
