The Republicans could post a fresh ad with new content everyday. Complete failure if this isn't the strategy.

This is frightening. My daughter used to live in that area. She often took her dog to the park nearby. It felt safe. That was back in 2019 before all the madness.

Ugh, horrible! I used to live in Lakeview, a few blocks from the Belmont L station. I used to feel more safe walking around at 9 p.m. in summer than I did in my old area. There were always restaurants/other businesses open and people all around. I never had any problems. Last time I went over there, I think pre-2020, there were very aggressive homeless people harassing people for money. Not asking, but harassing them by following them and being aggressive. I was horrified. I wouldn't go there now if you paid me. It breaks my heart. I adored that neighborhood and only left because I lost my job/apartment.

It feels as though the societal guardrails are gone now. That's not completely right, but a lot of people don't have restraints on their behavior anymore. I'm not sure what's prevented things from getting even worse, and maybe things will keep getting worse.

For starters, if criminals in your city aren't suffering any consequences for their crimes, it sends a strong signal to other would-be criminals.

Going back further, did we think shutting down society, paying people to stay home, and relegating kids to screenschool would create more crime, or less?

And masks are the elephant in the room. Even if you don't believe they dehumanize people, they make bad behavior much more convenient for the perpetrator.

It’s pretty horrifying, yet still pales in comparison to what’s happening in some parts of the city on a daily basis.

The woman is extremely lucky.

One can only imagine what those 3 ANIMALS are capable of.

All human beings are capable of criminal behavior. There but for the grace of God go I.

I understand you’re using “animals” hyperbolically, because what we see is vicious, unbridled attack.

I use that term "animals" because no human with any sense of decency can prey on a victim the way they did, withstand the horrible scream, and continue preying on the victim as if nothing is wrong.

All humans have a capacity to be viscous. I am well aware of my capabilities, and if I am forced into a situation, I know that I can do damage. But this is totally different. I am shocked and appalled by these "animals", and I have no room in my heart for excuses for them. I don't care that my language is "problematic" this day and age, it is my gut instinct that draws me to that conclusion, it would be unnatural for me to use any other, and with the direction things are heading, we will need to rely on our gut instincts more heavily, in order to survive.

I don't have a problem with your characterization or word choice and am glad you didn't hesitate to call it like you see it. :)

Thanks Brandon......
