In the very early weeks (Greater chicago area) I visited many Big Box establishments. Costco, Sams, Walmart, Home Depot, Menards. I estimate each must have staff of upwards of 3-400 employees.
At the height of the pandemic in NY I asked employees of these stores (all of them) casually
-Do you know anyone in your family who got sick? 90% said no.
-Do you know of anyone in store who got sick? Very few. Prob 90% did not know of anyone directly
-Do you know anyone who died? Again 100% said NO.
I know that this is totally unscientific and informal, however would one one expect these stores to be a continual vector of a supposedly spreading respiratory virus with so many employees and tens of thousands items stocked, handled, purchased and run through converyor belts every day?
We do need real NY public health data but even if it is finally released I fear that it will have been totally butchered.

I’m not sure if you have mentioned this previously, but there has been no corresponding decrease in mortality in NYC in the last four years. Virtually all of the covid deaths were among the very old and very unhealthy who were near the end of their life. So by now there should be an offset, but according to the CDC data there is none whatsoever. It is the dog that didn’t bark.
So if some of these deaths didn’t occur, why were they falsely reported? The only thing I can think of is to increase the terror by making it appear as if massive numbers of people were dying.
